Finals week, Venus

Usually by now I'm pulling my hair out because of finals. To be honest this time around I'm not gonna let it get to me. "Whatever happens, happens" and when I say that I don't mean I'm not trying it's just I will do my best and that's all I will ask of myself. I hope that  for anyone who is visiting and has finals to take care of as well that things are going smoothly at least. This piece below was made for class, the assignment was to chose an art piece or art period and make an art piece inspired by whatever you chose. I chose to base mine off of a painting called The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli. Every art history class I take this painting shows up and its always been a favorite.

Lately at work I decided to print pictures of things I would like to draw if I had the time. So far its been really working in my favor its been really great learning to draw animals that I've never tried to draw. Alot of people like the animals I've been painting and its been drawing (HAHA ACCIDENTAL PUN) in alot of attention and friendly smiles. Past two times I've worked people having been saying it made there days which feels really great. I have to say I love my job as you can most likely see. Hope all is well for everyone if they have finals!

Prefabrication

Thanks to those who have been watching the progress of this. It's really important that during finals you take a break and make something that has no purpose, no predetermined graded effort, something that comes from the heart. Bleed out every once in awhile and "let everything go to hell."

Been awhile since I updated. Started a new job testing a paint program on Windows 8 plus its finals week so I am poooooped....Anyways in a week ill have a good amount of time off of school (YESSSS) and I'll be posting much more. For now though heres a pic of a rhino I made at work. Hope everyone's Wednesday was great :D
