I'll be leaving California soon which makes me very sad...I hope to be able to return again to explore my career out here one day. I've made a lot I awesome friends out here that have taught me a lot about the world and about myself. With that being said I decided to start a series of wood prints printed from my sketchbook for as many of my friends as I can (since it would clear up some things I would have to move) anyways below is some of the work thus far that are either finished prints or just drawings waiting to be printed.
Been working diligently at school making pieces for my portfolio class, been going pretty smoothly so far by gearing my portfolio towards the illustrative aspects of graphic design. I hope someday to be given the chance to work in the illustration making engaging pieces. Have a look and enjoy!
-Logo design for a organization helping autistic kids
-Editorial illustration on the effect of student loan bubble on the economy
I find myself becoming more and more inspired by how beautiful she is. Her eyes drive me wild and her smile melts me completely. This is a horribly cheesy post I know but I hope that someday she reads this so she knows how much I love her.
Was riding back from school and almost forgot that today was free slushy day. Good stuff, I hope you all had a chance to snag one yourself! Pic below is something I made in class on the back of our syllabus (which has been repeated to me over and over since I've been at this school) anyways enjoy!
^See that movie if you have not already. Anyways, I'm still alive! Just been away for awhile but now I have blogger for my phone which makes this sooooo much easier so below is some new sketch work to get back into things.
Top left, possible painting idea. Bottom left King Geodra from the old Godzilla movies. Bottom right, a take on Alice in Wonderland, lost in wonderland.
I deleted my facebook for my new years resolution. I stuck to mine you should stick to yours! Honestly though I feel a lot better now that it's gone, I feel that people these days don't live in the moment and enjoy the the smallest of things. There is no need to make posts about what you are eating or what you are doing, just enjoy those moments!! Break the social network chains and focus on what you love, for me that is art. (duuhhh right haha)
Been away for a long while and I've finally gotten around to updating my blog which is this update right here haha! Anyways been pretty dang busy with school and looking for work but nonetheless I've been really busy making new projects for myself. If you would like to see more frequent updates and have instagram please add me!
Below are some of my more recent sketches and pieces, the ones I wanna show anyways haha. Anyways its super bowl Sunday!! I hope you all have an awesome Sunday regardless of what you're doing. :)
Been working like a madman on this one. I decided that I should make a piece with a medium that I grew up with and that's good old fashioned ball point pen and ink. I'm in love with the details that this piece is bringing out and just the strange idea that is this piece. No inspiration and I'm not even sure where it came from but its working, its pretty big too 20x30
For this piece I really wanted to push the spacial boundaries. My goal was to confuse the eyes as well as leave the viewer to their own interpretation as to what they see in this piece. I really like how it turned out mainly because I love shapes, detail, and lines and the illusion of space in the picture really is something I enjoy playing with.
If you would like a chance to win this piece and have it sent to you for FREE! "like" my facebook page
For christmas I purchased some uni-ball ink pens, fell in love with them right away. Made this little self portrait with them. I'm a very quite guy who likes to keep to himself but underneath lies the soul of a proud and wise dragon. The dragon, to me, is what I envision what my creativity to be. What creature reflects your creativity?
Been awhile since I updated!! Needed a break from everything, been
really nice catching up on sleep when I am not at work. Anyways here are
some pieces, most recent ones, that I made at work! I've been trying to
do animals that require alot of detail since it seems that is what I'm
good at also it makes the day go by faster haha ^_^. Sadly this job is
ending on Saturday which really sucks cause this has probably been the
best job I've ever had. No worries though great portfolio work plus a
good name to have on my resume! School starts next week and although my
classes are going to be boring I'm looking forward to having something
to do again! Hope everyone that has read this has an awesome day!
